Yesterday afternoon at about one o'clock occurred the death of one of the oldest residents of this city. James Hamilton, a man who has lived a resident in this city for nearly half a century passed away at the advanced at of 83 years at his home, 715 E. Market St, where for the past 40 years he has made his home with his son, James Hamilton, Jr. M. H's death resulted from general debility, and for the past 2 years he has been unable to leave the house. Mr. Hamilton was born in Ireland and came to this county when about 10. Besides James Hamilton, Jr. Mrs. Henry Clements was a child of Mr. Hamilton. His wife died 15 years ago. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 2 o'clock at the Episcopal Church, conducted by Archdeacon Cook. Burial at Odd Fellow's Cemetery - kbz

James Hamilton, 82 years old, died last Sunday from a general decline. He leaves two children, James W. Hamilton and Mrs. Henry Clements.
